The Miracle Morning
by Hal Elrod
Sorry to disturb your FRIDAY but 2025 has been a blur. 2 weeks into the year and i’m already chasing my tail…maybe if I just had a better morning routine I’d be able to keep on top of my reading and writing… 🤔
Enter Hal Elrod and The Miracle Morning!

The Miracle Morning introduces a simple but powerful framework for creating a morning routine, built around the acronym SAVERS: silence, affirmations, visualisation, exercise, reading and scribing (another word for writing - SAVERW doesn’t quite have the same ring to it 😆).
According to Elrod, if your morning begins intentionally rather than reactively you can set the tone for a productive, positive and successful day. By beginning the day focusing on your own mind, body and soul you can show up in the world as your best self.
Now, let’s dive into the life SAVERS and learn how to begin integrating them into your daily routine to set yourself up for success and fulfilment. 💪🏻
Life S.A.V.E.R.S.
🤫 ‘S’ is for silence.
If you want to begin each day with a feeling of calm, clarity and peace of mind, do the opposite of what the majority do - begin each morning with silence. Don’t hit the snooze button. Don’t reach for your phone to answer emails or begin mindless scrolling. Give yourself the gift of a moment to sit and just be, before the rush of life takes over.
💪🏻 Actionable Tip: Start every morning with a period of purposeful silence. Whether you choose prayer, meditation, gratitude, reflection or breathing exercises, get out of bed and spend some time in quiet solitude to relax, calm your mind and start your day in a peaceful way.
❤️🩹 ‘A’ is for affirmations
Affirmations are powerful statements that help you reframe your thoughts and beliefs. Take responsibility for your internal dialogue and choose to think positively. This will help you to overcome limiting beliefs and behaviours, and replace them with the beliefs and behaviours necessary to become the person you need to be to achieve your goals.
💪🏻 Actionable Tip: Write down 3 affirmations that align with your current goals. Write them as if they are already true and repeat them to yourself over and over again either out loud, in your head, or on paper.
🤩 ‘V’ is for visualisation
Visualisation is the practice of mentally rehearsing the journey and steps you’ll need to take to achieve something. Trying to run a marathon? Visualise all those early morning training runs in the cold, wet weather when your headphones are out of battery…feel the discomfort but see yourself lacing up your shoes and getting those miles in anyway! Imagine yourself completing the necessary tasks no matter what.
💪🏻 Actionable Tip: Spend time each morning to visualise the journey of achieving your goal. Close your eyes and imagine yourself taking steps, overcoming obstacles, and celebrating your achievements along the way.
🥵 ‘E’ is for exercise
No, it doesn’t have to be a long sweaty workout, but you can create a positive start to the day by boosting your energy and releasing endorphins with a little bit of exercise. The goal, as Elrod explains, is to get the blood flowing and your body moving to wake you up both physically and mentally.
💪🏻 Actionable Tip: Begin your morning with a short workout routine. Whether it’s a 10minute walk, some bodyweight exercises or simply stretching, wake up and get yourself moving!
📚️ ‘R’ is for reading
Reading is one of the fastest ways to acquire knowledge, gain insights, and grow as a person. No matter your goal, there are countless books out there written by experts who have already achieved what you desire. Learn from them every morning and take strides towards your goal.
💪🏻 Actionable Tip: Nurture your mind and commit to reading 5 pages of a non-fiction book per day (5×365 = 1,825 pages per year, which is equivalent to reading 6 300page books!)
✏️ ‘S’ is for scribing
Journalling is a gratifying and fulfilling practice that helps create self-awareness and clarity. By capturing your thoughts on paper you can clear your mind and easily track through your journal to review any ideas, lessons and progress you’ve made.
💪🏻 Actionable Tip: Use a notebook or app to journal each morning. Whether it’s a gratitude list, business ideas or processing feelings, clear your mind by getting these thoughts out of your head and on to paper.

Final Thoughts
Hal’s SAVERS framework is a transformational tool that can help you gain clarity and momentum. As always, the key is to start small and create consistency. Start by setting your morning alarm just 10minutes earlier and use this extra time to add one of the SAVERS into your routine. And remember, the best morning routine is the one that works for YOU. 🫵🏻
